The best I can do…

I'm working on a message that's coming up in a couple of weeks and I ran across a great quote. It was so good though, I didn't want to wait 2 weeks, I wanted to share it with you now.  It's by Mark Batterson and it's from the book "Wild Goose Chase."

"…when I pray, the best I can do is no longer the best I can do.  

The best I can do is the best God can do."

I sometimes feel like Bob in "What about Bob?" -- "I'm doing the work, I'm babystepping!"  But all too often my best is not enough.  I'm not smart enough, good enough, wise enough, strong enough, talented enough, visionary enough, bold enough, and on and on.  But… when I pray, it's not MY best anymore, it's the best God can do.

Man… I needed to read that today!
